Department Of Public Works Entities,An entity is something that exists as itself, as a subject or as an object, actually or potentially, concretely or abstractly, physically or not. It need not be of material existence. In particular, abstractions and legal fictions are usually regarded as entities. In general, there is also no presumption that an entity is animate, or present.





The Department of Public Works is committed to the attainment of a transformed built environment sector by: providing strategic leadership to the South African construction and property industries; establishing and ensuring compliance to policy and legislative prescripts for the management of state-owned and leased-in immovable assets, and South African construction and property sectors; providing strategic direction on the integration of public works priorities; and contributing to the national goals of job creation and poverty alleviation through Public Works Programmes.

The Property Management Trading Entity, within the Department of Public Works ensures the effective management of the state’s immovable assets, while contributing toward economic and social development and transformation of the built environment.
